About the Artist

New York born, Flavio Cabral moved with his family to Los Angeles in 1936. He began his art studies with Christian von Schneidau, continuing on to earn his BA in art education and his MA in painting. He was a long-time professor of painting and art history at Los Angeles Valley College. His murals and portraits may be found throughout the city.
